Counseling

Counseling services are designed to help women, couples, and parents move from internal conflict to clarity, connection, and alignment. Using an integrative approach that includes Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, DBT, neuroscience, and faith-informed care, sessions provide a safe and supportive space to explore challenges, understand the story that shaped you, and create lasting, meaningful change.

Women

You are  high-functioning on the outside but feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck on the inside. You have spent years striving, holding it all together, or caring for everyone else while quietly carrying anxiety, perfectionism, self-doubt, or overwhelm. You may be navigating relationship challenges, parenting stress, or simply a deep sense that something needs to change.

In a safe and supportive space, I help women:

  • Understand the live experiences that shaped them and how it still affects them today

  • Identify and shift patterns that no longer serve them

  • Heal unprocessed experiences that keep them in unwanted cycles

  • Strengthen their connection to themselves, others, and God

  • Learn practical tools for emotional regulation, boundaries, and self-leadership

  • Move from survival mode into a life of clarity, connection, and intention

My approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, DBT, neuroscience, and faith-informed care—helping women transform internal conflict into alignment so they can lead and live wholeheartedly.

Couples

I work with couples who want to move from disconnection, tension, or repeating conflicts into deeper understanding, trust, and intimacy. Many come to counseling feeling stuck in cycles of criticism, defensiveness, or emotional withdrawal. Some are navigating life transitions, parenting stress, or past hurts that keep surfacing. Others simply want to strengthen their bond and learn new ways of relating before small issues become bigger divides.

In a supportive, structured setting, I help couples:

  • Understand how early life experiences and attachment patterns shape their communication and connection

  • Recognize triggers and protective responses that escalate conflict

  • Learn to speak for their feelings instead of from them, creating space for safety and honesty

  • Repair trust and rebuild emotional intimacy

  • Develop practical skills for healthy communication, conflict resolution, and mutual support

  • Create a shared vision for their relationship moving forward

My work with couples is rooted in Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO), an IFS-based model for couples therapy, and integrates principles from EMDR, DBT, and relationship neuroscience. Sessions help partners shift from reactivity to responsiveness, so they can work together as a team instead of opponents.

Parents

I work with parents who want to be intentional in raising their children but find themselves reacting in ways they don’t like—or repeating patterns from their own upbringing. Some are navigating the daily stress of parenting while carrying unresolved experiences from childhood. Others are adjusting to new stages of parenting, working to co-parent after separation or divorce, or seeking to strengthen their relationship with their children before conflicts grow.

In a supportive, structured setting, I help couples:

  • Recognize how their own childhood experiences and attachment patterns shape their parenting style

  • Identify and shift reactive patterns into more connected, intentional responses

  • Learn strategies for effective communication and boundary-setting with children

  • Build emotional safety and trust within the parent-child relationship

  • Navigate co-parenting dynamics with less conflict and more collaboration

  • Understand child and adolescent brain development and how it impacts behavior

  • My approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT, and developmental neuroscience, and when desired, includes faith-informed guidance.

    • For co-parents, I also offer a state-approved Co-Parenting Seminar for Shelby County, Tennessee, to help parents reduce conflict and focus on the well-being of their children.
